Old school metal... Ahh... feels like a cold beer on a exceedingly hot day. Canít say anything more here to lead into my written ramblings I'am here to deliver, so we will go on to my little musings.
is a band that brings back the good old days of my youth....heavy thrashing metal and kicking back to enjoy it... it feels almost like it is a vacation packed on a little silver disk. I already sort of was expecting some great music from the second that I saw that I was reviewing another album from the Australian equivalent of Metallica
. I have to say that I was not disappointed in any way from the first note of the album... actually I was more than just pleased.
The boys have made another classic album of pure metal here. There is no rap metal anywhere on this album... nor is there any black arts summoning up some hell spawned demons or some young shredding guitar god on here going through how many ways to do a scale thing either, none of any of that. Garagedays
have given us some great Thrash based metal that sounds great and makes you bang your head while trying not to spill your beer in the process.
Each song has that fun sort of attitude, yet still shows that the band can play and play hard and make a memorable tune. Garagedays
is not rocket science here, the band delivers some great metal that has a whole lot of fun with it. Does not change metal in any way, but it just shows that fun is the main game here.
