MetalBite Review by JD on 9/5/2011
The waving fields of grains here in the great expanse of Saskatchewan, Canada seems to breed a unique type of metal. One that only now, the metal world is beginning to see and respect. Hailing from the small Nothern city of Prince Albert, comes a blackened force of pure malevolent metal that explodes out with all the strength of Satan himself... Desecrate Scripture.

Desecrate Scripture is a Black Metal attack, forged in the vein of bands like Northern California’s Valdur to the monumental powerhouse like the Brazilian satanic explosion of Vulcano. With such powerful growing guitars and blood splattered vocals that spew from this musical maelstrom, they bring everything to bare of what the whole Canadian Black Metal is all about... pure Satanic power.

"Wolves Of Damnation" comes across as one very amazing EP from a Canadian BM newcomer, showcasing a young band that is way beyond their years. Desecrate Scripture do play straight ahead Black Metal, but they seem to sneak in a few Death Metal blast beats in to make there sound even more evil than ever. The resulting songs like the titanic satanic 'Oppression Of Opinion' to the catholic church crushing 'Destruction Of The Vatican'... makes what this band done, a shining demonic gem of a EP.

Release the bloodthirsty hordes from the gates of hell. The soundtrack for their assault is here. Any BM fan will take to this EP right off... even most metalheads would. Talent mixed with sheer brutality is a thing that cannot be denied. Because of Desecrate Scripture... I love being a Canadian once more.
