Review by Adam M on April 25, 2026.
This album is a more groovy type of effort by the band and represents them attempting to be similar to Machine Head, for example and attempt a more groove-laden effort. This results in an album that is very accessible and easy to listen to. It also has some governance over how the band want to represent themselves as a more commercially laden outfit.
The musical performances are top notch with catchy riffing and strong musical performances in terms of drumming and singing. The entire affair is awfully easy to listen to and has a catchy aspect that likens it to Machine Head again. It is very accessible and commercially viable music that has all the right elements to make an impression.
There are very few moments that let up here and the album is still less interesting than their earlier efforts. It is more of a catchy album and this makes it less compelling overall. Still, fans of the band’s other efforts will find this to be a catchy and worthwhile album that has the right ingredients to make an impact.
All In all, this was a fun album that has the right elements to be one of the premier death and roll type of releases available. Fans of the band will be right at home with the band’s new sound as it is very catchy and accessible. There is little to dislike as this is one of the better death metal releases that has a mainstream flavor.
