This was an interesting album that renewed interest in the band and made for a great comeback.  The songs here are darker and more well conceived than on previous works.  There is a need to make more emotional songs than on their previous work and this makes the album interesting.

The musical performances  on the album are very interesting and have a great deal of depth and feeling.  Tom G. Warrior’s performance is great as usual and the guitars are dark and involving.  This is a very thoughtful album and is nicely placed within their discography.

The problem I’m having with the album is that it is not as innovative as previous works and takes a step back to them because it is simply more of the same.  The more modern aspect of the albums omewhat makes up  for this and consistently makes this a fun album.

All in all, I had fun with the album and think it is one of the band’s better works though not quite up to the standard of To Mega Therion in some respects.  Still, fans of the band will find this to be a great addition to the rest of the band’s work.
