Review by Adam M on January 24, 2023.

This is a hardcore grind that has death metal aspects to it (Misery Index first came to mind when I was listening to this). The riffs are grimy and feature a great deal of distortion that leads to the main idea of the material being a sort of filthy outlet for the band. The guitar work is scalpel-like and heavy as could be with the drumming that is very solid and holding the material together quite nicely. The vocalist is a screamer with a typical grind sound to him so all in all, the musical performances are solid and somewhat daring even though it appears that the material is a bit under-produced.

This leads to the biggest fault with it. It sounds sort of generic because the production isn't very strong and brings the music down a notch. The sound isn't crisp as it could be and the guitars could be produced better. The entirety of the music is sort of feeling like it has a certain hollowness to it. Despite reasonable musicianship, there just isn't anything to become overly enamored with on this album and the relative indifference towards the music brings the whole experience to be mediocre at best.

So when all is taken together, this is a reasonable attempt at grind with a death metal feeling, but it doesn't sound potent enough to make a true impact. The entirety of this material glides by at a lightning speed and one never becomes overly engaged with anything that is going on. Still there isn't anything inherently wrong with this demo and with a little more effort to make things more unconventional, this could really become something more captivating. As it stands at this time though it is only a good effort that could’ve been made better.
