Review by Krys on February 8, 2001.

As far as I’m concerned, as long as there are bands like Vomitory, death metal will never die. I loved their previous release "Redemption" so much I couldn’t wait to put my hands and ears on this CD. Since the band promised to stick to their style of old-school death metal and that they’ll never compromise, I knew what it was going to be. The only question was – How good will it be?

And oh, Jesus (or Satan, I don’t even know who to call), did they ever fuck my ears. This is their most brutal, skull-crushing release to date. "Revelation Nausea" is powerful, it’s catchy, it’s so dynamic I don’t think you’ve heard anything like this in a long time.

Sometimes it seems like those guys listened to Bolt Thrower a lot before releasing this album. You can really hear that influence on "Beneath The Soil". That’s not to say that this album is just a BT rip-off, Vomitory has its own style and it is old-school Swedish death metal. Death at its best.

If you are one of those guys who look for innovations from album to album you won’t find much of it here, but if you are a big fan of great death metal as I am you should do everything in your power to get this release.

One more piece of advice: play it loud and piss-off your neighbors!
